SUMMARY OF SURVEY BY FRENCH PUPILS
We must
comment on the results of the survey. The majority of people are not really
informed about uranium & sustainable development. We have 50% of female and
50% of male covered by this survey. And the majority of people who answered
were under 20.
Here are
the results of sustainable development questionnaire:
1.
In the opinion of the 240 people we asked, 22%
believed coal to be the most frequently used energy source, 33% believed it was
gas, 4% believed it was solar and geothermic power, 35% believed it was oil, 3%
believed it was hydraulic power and 3% thought it was uranium.
2.
To the question of whether or not the state of the
planet was linked to energy consumption, 5% of people replied that they
strongly disagree, 17% replied that they disagree, 35% replied that they agree, 30% replied that they agree completely, and
7% replied that they disagree.
3.
In the opinion of the people we questioned, 3% felt
that coal pollutes the least, 14% felt that natural gas pollutes the least, 75%
felt that geothermic and solar power pollutes the least, 5% felt that oil
pollutes the least, 2% felt that hydraulic power pollutes the least and 0% felt
that uranium pollutes the least.
4.
In the opinion of the people we questioned, 8% felt
that coal pollutes the most, 2% felt that natural gas pollutes the most, 8%
felt that geothermic and solar power pollutes the most, 39% felt that oil
pollutes the most, 7% felt that hydraulic power pollutes the most, and 35% felt
that uranium pollutes the most.
5.
In the opinion of the people we questioned, 10% felt
that coal was the most suitable energy source for the future, 40% felt that
natural gas was the most suitable energy source for the future, 60% felt that
geothermic and solar power. were the most suitable
energy sources for the future, 0% felt that it was oil, 10% felt that hydraulic
power was the most suitable energy source for the future, and 0% felt that
uranium was the most suitable energy source for the future.
6.
To the statement "on the whole, satisfactory
progress has been made in the field of sustainable development in the last five
years", 7% of people replied that they strongly disagreed, 22% of people
replied that they disagreed, 24% of people replied that they agreed, 0% of
people replied that they agreed completely, and 0% replied that they didn't
know.
7.
As for the
frequency with which sustainable development is discussed, 33% of people
replied that they heard it discussed once a year, 33% said it was once a month,
20% said it was once a week, and 13% said it was once a day.
8.
The age of the 226 people questioned in our sample was
distributed in the following way: 55% were under 20, 2% were aged 20 to 30, 13%
were between 30 and 40, 25% were aged between 40 and 50, and 5% were over 50.
9.
50% of the people questioned were female, and 50%
male.
10.Our survey was carried out between 12th January and
Suggestions what we should do in this matter:
I think the best is the solar panels because it
can stop waste of the electricity, and the construction of a lot of stations. The
solar energy is more ecological, and more sensitive for the landscape. To limit
the pollution, we should use the bicycles in the city instead of cars. I would
like to introduce the ban on
nuclear power stations because they create danger.

question 1
Out of 240
people, which we asked, 22% claim that coal is the
most used source of energy, 33% claim it is gas, 4% solar energy and 35% oil,
3% water energy and 3% uranium.
question 2.
For question:
Is there any connection between state of our planet and usage of energy? - 5%
absolutely do not agree, 17% don't agree, 30% absolutely agree.
question 3
3% claim that coal makes less pollution, 14% think
that it is gas, 75% solar energy and geothermical, 5% oil, 2% water energy and
0% uranium.
question 4
For question:
Which of energy sources makes less polution? - 8% opted for coal, 2% were for gas, 5 % solar
energy and geothermical, 39% oil, 7% water energy, 35% uranium
question 5
For question:
Which of energy sources are the best for future? - 10% claim that it is coal, 40% gas, 40% solar energy and
geothermical, 10% water energy, however uranium and oil 0%.
question 6
7% questioned
people completely disagree with the statement that "Satisfactory progress
in sustained development had been made in last 5 years" 22% disagree with
this statement, 24% agree. Nobody answered that totally disagrees.
