THE ART OF PAINTING

This project was connected with culture because students had an opportunity to talk about the art of painting and to I.C.T. - information and communication technologies - because the students could practise collaborative working using specialized software.

Each teacher chose a very famous painting from his/her country and sent its name as well as the name of the painter of this painting, the name of the museum in which this painting is exhibited and a small-sized photo of the painting.

The students were invited to observe these paintings and to find the country of origin of each painting from this list : Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Sweden.
Next they were to guess the name of the painting, the name of the painter and the name of the area (museum or else) where this painting is displayed.

Finally, they were supposed to write a small text saying which painting they liked the best. After reading the different international reports, students could exchange their ideas and impressions about the year's project.
