European Clubs are informal associations of teachers and students
to support school education about European integration. European
education is an essential part of education reform introduced
by the Polish Ministry of Education and Sport in 1999.
Our Club was initiated in October 2001 by the pupils of Secondary
Comprehensive School No 1 in Mielec which is ranked among 100
High Schools of the longest tradition in Poland.
The aims of our club are as follows:
1) creating awareness of relationship between European Countries
2) learning about economic dependence in Europe and the need
of cooperation
3) spreading information about European institutions, the aims
of European Integration, Europe cultural heritage as well as
geographic and historical aspects
4) contribution to mutual tolerance and respect without any
prejudice
5) taking measures against the manifestation of nationalism,
chauvinism and xenophobia
6) developing the sense of responsibility, peace, environment
protection, national and Europe heritage
7) exchanging experience and opinions on vital issues with
European peers
